Privacy Policy

BUILD is a workout planner and timer. This policy explains exactly what it stores, where that data lives, and how to erase it. It covers both the website at theworkout.life and the BUILD iOS app.
The short version. BUILD stores your account email and your workouts, so they follow you between devices. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing is sold or shared. You can permanently delete everything from inside the app at any time.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a unique account identifier. When you use Sign in with Apple in the iOS app we receive a unique account identifier, your email address, and — only on the very first sign-in — your name. If you choose Apple's Hide My Email option we only ever see the relay address it generates, never your real one. Either way this is used solely to identify your account and keep your workouts separate from everyone else's.
- Your workout data. The plans you build, exercises and schedules, rest days, and the sessions you complete along with their elapsed time.
- A local copy. The same workout data is cached on your own device so the app works offline. Signing out or deleting your account clears it.
What we do not collect
BUILD contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We do not collect or request your location, contacts, photos, health or fitness data from Apple Health, device identifiers for advertising, or any browsing activity. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How your data is used
Solely to run the app: to sign you in, to save your workouts, and to sync them to your other devices. We do not use your data for marketing and we do not send promotional email.
Who it is shared with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The app is built on Google Firebase, which stores the data on our behalf as a service provider — Firebase Authentication for sign-in and Cloud Firestore for your workouts. Their handling is governed by Firebase's privacy documentation. Data may also be disclosed if required by law.
Security
Your workouts are stored in a document tied to your account ID. Server-side security rules permit read and write access only to the signed-in owner of that document, so no other user can reach your data. All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
Deleting your account
Open Profile → Delete Account. This permanently erases your stored workouts, your sign-in account, and the copy cached on your device. It is immediate and cannot be undone. You may also simply sign out, which leaves your data intact for next time.
Data retention
Your workouts are kept for as long as your account exists, so they are there when you come back. Once you delete your account the data is removed and is not retained in backups beyond the routine retention window of our hosting provider.
Children
BUILD is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page is updated. Continuing to use BUILD after a change means you accept the revised policy.
